Volkswagen is considering selling Ducati as part of its "Future Plan 2030" restructuring strategy. Audi's CEO confirmed that while the option is being evaluated, no decision has been made yet. Ducati, part of Volkswagen through Audi, is among the 600 companies under review in a portfolio of about 2,000. The restructuring aims to simplify operations and generate up to 15 billion euros for investments in electric mobility and software platforms. Ducati's financial performance has declined, with revenues dropping from over 1 billion euros in 2024 to 925 million euros in 2025. Analysts estimate Ducati's value at around 1.25 billion euros, with potential buyers including investment funds and Asian mobility groups. However, no imminent sale is indicated, and alternatives like partial IPOs or increased independence for Ducati are also considered.
