Volkswagen is considering selling Ducati as part of a broader portfolio review, according to Audi's director, Gernot Dollner. The group is evaluating around 600 of its 2,000 activities, including Ducati, which could be valued at approximately €1.25 billion. Volkswagen aims to restructure its operations to enhance competitiveness, having recently approved a significant restructuring program. Ducati, acquired by Audi in 2012, has strengthened its position in motorcycle racing but has not met Volkswagen's operational margin goals. Additionally, Audi is exploring options for vehicle production in the U.S. to reduce tariff exposure.
