Vlad Tănasie a câștigat marele trofeu la World Sushi Cup 2026: „A fost visul meu”
Vlad Tănasie, a chef from Cluj, won the World Sushi Cup 2026 in Tokyo, excelling in all categories. He prepared 35 perfect sushi pieces in 40 minutes, impressing the Japanese judges with his technique and hygiene. This victory follows his national title at the Romania Sushi Cup. Tănasie is now training future chefs in his restaurant. He emphasized the importance of discipline and practice, having trained for 12 years to achieve his dream. The competition aimed to preserve authentic Japanese culinary traditions, and Tănasie highlighted common misconceptions about sushi consumption in Romania, particularly the excessive use of soy sauce.
