Bucharest plans to enhance its transport system with smart traffic lights and new electric vehicles. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu announced funding for public transport improvements, including 10 new trams, 45 trolleybuses, and 40 electric buses. The city currently has 63 active construction sites aimed at modernizing infrastructure. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to create a greener city and improve mobility. The funding, amounting to €87.44 million, is non-repayable and will support the renewal of the public transport fleet, reducing pollution and enhancing service quality.
