Winter conditions are starting to appear in Romania, particularly in mountainous areas where snow and sleet are expected. Meteorologists have issued warnings for rain, strong winds, and a significant drop in temperatures across various regions. Snowfall is anticipated in the Southern Carpathians at altitudes above 1,500 meters, while lower areas will mainly experience rain. A yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for parts of Muntenia and Oltenia, with expected precipitation amounts reaching up to 50 liters per square meter in some areas. In Bucharest, temperatures will drop sharply from 29 degrees Celsius to around 15-16 degrees, with rain expected throughout the day.
