Metrorex and Alstom are revising 7 CAF trains on the busiest metro line in Bucharest, potentially increasing wait times for passengers. This decision comes as schools reopen, raising concerns about commuter inconvenience. Currently, 16 CAF trains operate on Line 2, with maintenance managed by Alstom. The revisions follow a strict schedule based on mileage, and Metrorex plans to replace the CAF trains with Bombardier units from other lines. Daily, around 200,000 passengers use this line, which has not seen significant investment since its opening in 1986.
