The resulting mixture can be 3D printed into biscuit-like discs. While the production cost is currently high, researchers believe it could decrease with improved efficiency. This technology may also have applications on Earth in isolated environments, addressing both plastic waste and food demand issues. However, public acceptance remains a significant challenge.
