VIDEO: Victimele Holocaustului, comemorate în Sinagoga din Alba Iulia. ”Numele lor rămân”: lecție de istorie, rugăciune și concert

On October 9, Holocaust victims were commemorated at the "Mareh Yezekiel" Synagogue in Alba Iulia during the event "Their Names Remain." The gathering included a concert and a historical presentation about the deportation of Jews to Transnistria, coinciding with Romania's National Day of Commemoration of Holocaust Victims. Organized by the Augustin Bena Cultural Center, the event featured tenor performances and a lecture by historian Andreea Rotche. Lia Borza, president of the Jewish community, emphasized the importance of remembrance and highlighted other significant historical events related to the Jewish community. The day serves as a reminder of the suffering endured by Jews during deportations and the ongoing impact of hatred.
