VIDEO | Un nou sistem inteligent la trecerile de pietoni din București. Proiectul pilot este implementat pe Șoseaua Chitilei • Știri București

Bucharest has launched its first pilot project using smart technology to enhance pedestrian safety at crossings on Chitila Road. The initiative, in collaboration with sFlows, aims to address the inadequacy of traditional crossings amid heavy traffic. The intelligent system activates signals only when pedestrians intend to cross, featuring visual alerts and acoustic signals for the visually impaired. Additionally, in Sector 3, work has begun on elevated pedestrian crossings, targeting 1,000 locations, with initial funding for only 10. This project includes electronic warning signs and tactile markings for disabled individuals, with a total investment of 391 million lei.
