The Basarab Passage in Bucharest will fully reopen to traffic starting tonight after repairs that began earlier this summer. The repairs were necessary for the project's reception, which had never occurred since the passage's opening 15 years ago. Although the passage will be open, some work will continue without disrupting traffic. The local administration aims to complete all repairs by the end of the year, including replacing rusted fences and rehabilitating the tram station. Public transport lines will adjust accordingly, with some lines resuming normal operations.
