VIDEO Târgu Mureș legat cu autostradă de Ungaria în 2032? Încep lucrările la „ciotul” A3 până la graniță • Newsweek România

Construction has begun on the final 41-kilometer section of the Transylvania Highway (A3) connecting Târgu Mureș to the Hungarian border, expected to be completed by late 2031. This project has faced numerous delays and bureaucratic hurdles over the past decade. The Turkish consortium Makyol-Ozaltin has been awarded the contract, which is the most expensive in Romanian history for this length of highway. Initial works include archaeological excavations and site preparations, with hopes for partial openings before the full completion. The project is crucial for enhancing connectivity between Romania and Hungary.
