Construction on the A8 Unirii Highway's 1D Joseni-Ditrău section has progressed significantly since its start in August 2026, reaching 13% completion. The project involves over 300 workers and 245 pieces of equipment, focusing on ground stabilization, earthworks, and infrastructure development. This section, spanning 14.4 km, includes 18 bridges and eco-ducts, and is the first mountainous segment of the A8 in Harghita County. The contract, valued at approximately 912 million lei, mandates completion by August 2028.
