The President of Prahova County Council, Virgiliu-Daniel Nanu, announced preparations for the opening of the Comarnic Beltway, aimed at easing traffic on the Prahova Valley. Originally expected to open by the end of August, the opening has been delayed to after September 20 due to safety modifications. Nanu confirmed that work is ongoing on DN1 to accommodate traffic from the new beltway, including widening lanes in Nistorești. The plan includes two lanes for uphill traffic and one for downhill to enhance capacity. These adjustments are crucial before the beltway becomes operational.
