Israeli artist Asaf Avidan has officially become a Romanian citizen after taking an oath of allegiance. Avidan, who has Romanian roots through his grandparents, expressed his love for Romania during the ceremony. He is known for his unique voice and has gained international recognition both as a solo artist and with his band. Avidan emphasized that obtaining citizenship is about reconnecting with his family's heritage. Alongside him, his two brothers and around 30 others from various countries also became Romanian citizens. Since 2015, over 25,000 foreigners have acquired Romanian citizenship, mainly from the former Soviet space.
