Several drivers were penalized in Mureș after being filmed by a police helicopter while committing traffic violations. The operation, conducted from October 12 to 14, aimed to monitor dangerous driving behaviors, particularly illegal overtaking. The aerial surveillance allowed police to identify offenders in real-time, leading to immediate interventions. On one day alone, eight drivers received fines for illegal overtaking, with penalties including hefty fines and license suspensions. Notably, a 44-year-old driver was fined 1,730 lei and had his license suspended for 60 days for overtaking on a continuous line. Another driver was caught overtaking on a pedestrian crossing, while a 23-year-old received multiple fines for similar offenses.
