Cristian Pistol, director of CNAIR, announced ongoing asphalt work on the A1 Highway, Section 3 Cornetu – Tigveni, with 30% of the site active. A drone video showed the start of asphalt laying on an experimental section by the Italian-Romanian contractor association Webuild – Tancrad. This operation is crucial for determining the final asphalt recipe for the entire 37.4 km section. Currently, the physical progress of the project is at 18%, with a contract value of 5.323 billion lei, funded through the Transport Program. The most challenging sections are the mountainous ones, where environmental agreement revisions are underway to facilitate construction permits.
