The Turkish contractor Makyol is testing asphalt mixtures on a 260-meter experimental section of the Sibiu-Făgăraș highway. Successful results will lead to further asphalt work on 1.5 km of prepared sections. Current progress on the four highway segments ranges from 17.77% to 44%, with completion expected by 2028.
