A snake was spotted in the Bucharest Metro tunnels between Mihai Bravu and Timpuri Noi, identified as a non-venomous natrix tessellata. The reptile likely entered the tunnels from the nearby Dâmbovița River. Metrorex employees filmed the snake, which blends in with the tunnel stones. A veterinarian confirmed its harmless nature, noting it feeds on frogs and fish. Additionally, Metrorex has been dealing with pest issues, including bedbugs, and has contracts for cleaning and pest control services.
