Russia has successfully developed its first contemporary passenger aircraft, the MC-21-310, without Western components, completing a test flight after nearly nine years of development. The aircraft, produced by Yakovlev, aims to compete with Boeing and Airbus models, capable of carrying up to 211 passengers. Despite ongoing certification processes, the Irkutsk plant is ready to produce an initial batch of 18 planes for Aeroflot.
