VIDEO. Roxana Puia - Asociația Environ: Opt din zece români păstrează în casă aparate electrice pe care nu le mai folosesc. Sertarul cu cabluri și telefoane

A recent study by ENVIRON reveals that 80% of Romanians have unused electrical equipment at home, primarily old mobile phones and cables. Many keep these items due to the belief they might need them again, despite low chances of future use. The lack of information on how to dispose of old devices legally contributes to this behavior. ENVIRON suggests that easier access to collection points and incentives could encourage proper disposal. They are working on partnerships to establish collection sites in frequented areas, aiming to normalize the recycling of old electronics. The organization emphasizes the importance of not discarding these items with regular waste, advocating for responsible recycling practices.
