Brașov police conducted 16 searches nationwide in a case involving an organized crime group. The operation targeted individuals suspected of forming a criminal organization and committing tax evasion. The searches took place in various locations, including Bucharest and several counties. Authorities are investigating a man from Ilfov who allegedly led the group, which aimed to acquire shares of companies in Brașov through intermediaries. The total tax evasion amount is reported to be 1,780,651 lei. Five individuals will be brought in for questioning as part of the investigation, supported by multiple police departments.
