Mihaela Ștefan, the deputy mayor of Sector 6, announced the initiation of evaluation and modernization plans for the abandoned former Cinema Cotroceni. The cinema, located on the ground floor of an interwar building, is currently in a state of disrepair. Local authorities aim to ensure safety through a technical expertise that will assess the structure's condition and propose necessary solutions for its consolidation and modernization. This investment is intended to transform the neglected space into a valuable community asset. Additionally, Cinema City plans to invest 15 million euros in Romania, including a new multiplex in Promenada Mall, set to open in spring 2027.
