Bosnian contractor Euro-Asfalt has completed a major tunnel in Bosnia, measuring 3.36 kilometers, as part of the Ponirak-Vraca highway section. The Zenica tunnel, featuring pedestrian and vehicle passages, is set to open in 2026. The project is funded by the European Investment Bank and EU grants. In Romania, Euro-Asfalt is also working on the A1 Lugoj-Deva highway, nearing completion of a smaller tunnel and preparing for a larger one, expected to be completed in September. The overall project aims to enhance connectivity between regions, with significant progress reported on various sections of the highway.
