Simion falsely asserted that Georgescu was arrested for winning the 2024 presidential election, while in reality, he is detained for fraud charges unrelated to the elections. Simion also claimed that public support for Georgescu led to his arrest, which is inaccurate as the investigation stemmed from a complaint filed in 2024. Additionally, Simion exaggerated the number of supporters at protests and misrepresented the nature of the charges against Georgescu, including claims of fund misappropriation. Furthermore, he falsely attributed statements to Bucharest's mayor, Nicușor Dan, regarding the legitimacy of elections, which were annulled by the Constitutional Court for procedural issues.
