Construction has begun on the metal deck of the highest viaduct on the Sibiu-Pitești Highway, with completion expected by 2028. This highway will connect Muntenia and Transylvania, featuring seven tunnels and numerous bridges. The project is valued at 4.25 billion lei and employs over 600 workers. The construction method involves hydraulic jacks for precision placement of metal pieces, and the viaduct's deck weighs around 4,000 tons, made from maintenance-free Corten steel.
