The first TBM for the North Section of Metro Line 6 has begun tunneling towards the Otopeni Airport. The launch ceremony included a blessing of the TBMs. This project aims to enhance public transport and connectivity in Bucharest. The TBM named "Saint Parascheva" will excavate the first tunnel, while "Saint Catherine" will handle the second. The tunneling process will occur in two phases, connecting various stations along the route. The entire Metro Line 6 will span 14.2 km with 12 new stations.
