Metrorex has begun transporting components of two TBMs for the northern section of Metro Line 6 to the future Brussels station. These EPB-type machines will excavate tunnels with an estimated advance of 14 meters per day. The project aims to connect the metro network to Henri Coandă International Airport, featuring a total length of 14.2 km and 12 new stations. The southern section is being constructed by Alsim Alarko – Makyol, while the northern section is contracted to Gulermak – Somet.
