Metrorex has announced the start of a new phase for Metro Line 6, with the transport of two TBMs to the Brussels station site. This phase follows progress made in August on the southern section. The northern section will connect the metro network to Henri Coandă International Airport. Each TBM is 103 meters long and weighs 602 tons, capable of advancing about 4 meters per day. Construction began in 2023, with the line covering 14.2 km and including 12 new stations, aiming to link the airport with Gara de Nord.
