Metrorex has released the construction journal for August 2026 regarding the M6 metro line, which will connect to Otopeni Airport. The TBM "Sf. Ana" has successfully reached the future Piața Montreal station. The overall progress of the M6 line's structural work is at 75%. Significant advancements were made at various stations, including Tokyo, Băneasa Airport, and Expoziției, with completion percentages ranging from 64% to 87%. The construction efforts continue with various tasks at each station, including excavation and concrete pouring, as well as utility diversions. The project aims to enhance connectivity to Bucharest's airports.
