The tunnel boring machine "Sfânta Maria" has reached the future Expoziției metro station, part of Line 6 connecting Gara de Nord to Henri Coandă Airport. It has excavated 3.67 km of the total 6.6 km tunnel to station 1 Mai, installing 2,445 rings. Meanwhile, TBM "Sfânta Ana" is 855 meters away from the same station. This new metro line aims to alleviate traffic congestion in Bucharest and will serve key areas including 1 Mai, Romexpo, and the airport.
