Over 5,800 illegally cut trees were found in Slătioara Forest, Brașov, following a Forest Guard inspection. The area was previously unprotected, classified as pasture. Local authorities have now included it in the forest fund, enhancing its legal protection. The Forest Guard will file criminal complaints regarding over 1,000 cubic meters of stolen wood. This case follows another recent discovery of illegal logging in the region.
