The Supreme Court is expediting the appeals in the corruption case involving former Agriculture Minister Adrian Ionuț Chesnoiu, who was sentenced to four years in prison. During the latest hearing, defendant Mihai Pârv testified about the circumstances surrounding the case, including police searches and his interactions with political figures. Pârv claimed he was unaware of the legal procedures during the searches and denied any wrongdoing. The court is set to hear final pleas on November 2, with the prosecution presenting evidence of political connections and pre-arranged job placements related to the case. The investigation revealed that Pârv had communicated with political leaders regarding his aspirations for a position within the Agricultural Directorate.
