Progress is being made on the L3 section of the A0 Nord highway, crucial for completing the Bucharest ring road. This nearly 9-kilometer segment between Afumați and Cernica will enable the use of Lot 4, which connects directly to the A2 highway. Currently, Lot 3 is over 90% complete, with ongoing asphalt work. The initial completion deadline was November 2025, later extended to February 2026, but the section remains unfinished. The Bucharest ring road, designed to encircle the city, is 100.8 kilometers long, with over 70% already open to traffic. The project has been divided into two main sections, with the southern semi-ring fully completed and the northern semi-ring still under construction.
