Thousands of sheep farmers protested in front of the ANSVSA headquarters in Bucharest, demanding the resignation of its leadership due to the handling of a crisis related to the peste des petits ruminants. Farmers expressed their frustration over the blocking of exports and rejected vaccination as a solution. The protest was organized by local associations, with around 6,500 participants expected. The Romanian Sheep Breeders' Union distanced itself from calls for leadership changes, emphasizing that such actions won't resolve underlying issues. They highlighted the urgent need for a clear plan to address economic losses and restore trade.
