The opening of the A7 Moldova Highway at the Bacău Nord junction is expected this weekend or Monday, following recent construction work. The Bacău ring road, part of the A7, was closed for several weeks for connection works. With the completion of Bacău Nord, approximately 258 km of the A7 will be open, enhancing direct access between Bucharest and Bacău. Future works are planned for the northern sections of the A7, with hopes to complete them by the end of the year. Romania's highway network has expanded to nearly 1,475 km this year, with more openings anticipated in 2026, potentially exceeding 1,660 km by year-end.
