The Bucharest City Hall has begun safety work on a building affected by an explosion in the Rahova neighborhood. Initial support pillars have been installed, and workers are equipped with body cameras to monitor the process. The municipality confirmed that all necessary administrative and technical steps were completed on time, allowing the work to commence. The explosion, which occurred on October 17, 2025, resulted in three fatalities and injuries to 15 others. Following the incident, three individuals were detained in connection with the case. The city has provided temporary housing for evacuated residents, spending approximately €115,000 for their accommodation.
