Savatage performed their first concert in Romania at the Arenele Romane, marking a significant moment for rock and metal fans. The band, known for their unique blend of heavy and progressive metal, played classic hits and celebrated their history. Founded in 1979, Savatage faced challenges, including the tragic loss of co-founder Criss Oliva in 1993. After a long hiatus, they returned to touring in 2023, featuring original members and new talent. Jon Oliva, despite health issues, remains involved with the band.
