In the second Sunday of August, the ghost village of Bunea Mică in Timiș County comes alive as former residents and their descendants gather to remember their lost community. Although no structures remain, a cross marks the site of the former Reformed church, alongside a few graves. The journey to Bunea Mică is challenging, with only a dirt road leading to the area. Despite a decline in attendance over the years, the event continues to foster connections among the descendants. The village was founded in 1866 by Hungarian families seeking a better life, but faced numerous hardships, including water scarcity and isolation, leading to its eventual abandonment. Today, memories of the village persist through gatherings and stories shared by those who once called it home.
