The project includes modernizing the railway infrastructure and electrification, with significant progress reported across four lots. Officials express optimism about meeting European milestones by August, which would secure substantial funding for Romania. The ultimate goal is to reopen the modernized sections by 2027 and complete the project by 2028, enhancing railway standards in Transylvania.
