With three weeks left for the SME Eco-Tech funding application deadline, there is still significant budget available for Romanian entrepreneurs. Adrian Panait from the Ministry of Economy urged firms to apply, noting that 343 applications have been submitted, with 100 already accepted for funding. The program, funded by Swiss-Romanian funds, has a total budget of 213 million lei for grants, of which only 15% has been utilized. The application process operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and Panait emphasized the importance of timely applications. The program is open until September 24, 2026, with potential extensions if necessary. Additionally, the funding allows for early loan repayment without penalties, providing flexibility for beneficiaries.
