On Thursday morning, Romania's airspace was violated by a drone that entered from Ukraine, prompting military alerts and RO-Alert messages. Two F-16 fighter jets were dispatched to monitor the situation. The drone reportedly crashed in a forest near Solca, Suceava, without causing casualties or damage. The Ministry of Defense confirmed the drone was detected for about four minutes in Romanian airspace before crashing. Emergency teams secured the area and identified the drone as small and without fire. Earlier, a radar system had detected the drone near the Romanian border, leading to the alert for residents in Botoșani and Suceava.
