On the occasion of Romania's Firefighters' Day, outstanding firefighters and volunteers from Alba were honored for their bravery and dedication. The ceremony took place at the Principia Museum, highlighting the historical significance of the day, which commemorates the heroism of firefighters during the 1848 Battle of Dealul Spirii. ISU Alba firefighters participated in European civil protection efforts, battling severe wildfires in southern Europe, often under challenging conditions. Their efforts included protecting local communities and saving numerous vacation homes from destruction.
