Starting October 20, 2026, drivers will be able to travel from Constanța and Craiova to Bacău exclusively on highways, avoiding Bucharest. The opening of Lots 3 and 4 of the A0 North Highway is expected next week, following the completion of the DN3 overpass. Lot 3, approximately 8.6 kilometers long, is in its final execution stage with over 98.5% completion. The contractor is finalizing safety features and conducting tests on the intelligent transport system. The completion of these lots will create a continuous connection between several major highways, facilitating travel across the region.
