The completion of the Bucharest Ring Road A0 is delayed, with Lot 1 expected to finish in December instead of September. The Italian-Romanian consortium Pizzarotti-Retter is responsible for the construction, with the current work progress at about 82%. Although a partial opening was initially possible, authorities' lack of urgency has hindered progress. The contract for the works was signed in September 2023, with a total value of 815 million lei. Meanwhile, Lots 3 and 4 are also under construction, with Lot 3 experiencing delays due to slow progress by the Chinese contractor. Recent visits by officials indicate improvements in mobilization, with hopes for traffic to commence by late October.
