The first Romanian fire truck, an SR 101, was successfully started after 50 years of inactivity. This vehicle, produced in 1954 at the Steagul Roșu factory, is a copy of the Soviet ZiS-150. It is currently housed at the Romanian Automobile Museum in Câmpulung. The SR 101 was part of Romania's early truck production, which began in 1954, and was designed with local adaptations. The truck features a wooden and metal cabin and a 5.5-liter engine, capable of carrying a load of 4 tons. The revival of this fire truck coincides with the annual Firefighters' Day celebrated on September 13.
