The Slovak Academy of Sciences reported the lowest recorded water flow in the Danube's history at 750 cubic meters per second. This marks the lowest level since measurements began in 1876. Recently, Slovakia has experienced a significant drop in the Danube's water level, causing serious navigation issues. Vessels with deep drafts are forced to remain docked in certain areas due to insufficient water depth for safe navigation. The drought, resulting from hot weather in Slovakia and other Central European countries, is the primary cause of these problems.
