A large retention basin is being constructed under Prelungirea Ghencea to prevent flooding during heavy rains. The basin, measuring over 4,000 square meters, will temporarily store excess water and release it gradually. Above the basin, a park and ride facility with 500 spaces will be built, alongside tram infrastructure expansion. Construction is progressing on various tramway sections, with the road set to feature four lanes, a median tram line, bike paths, and sidewalks upon completion.
