The construction of the new Infectious Diseases and Pneumology Hospital in Oradea has continued for over six months at the contractor's expense, as the municipality halted payments. The project, now about 50% complete, will be transferred from PNRR to the Health Program due to an inability to meet the August 2026 deadline. The updated project budget is approximately 734.6 million lei, equivalent to about 140.09 million euros. The local council approved the updated project and expenses for financing through the Health Program, which will cover 85% of eligible costs with EU funds. The mayor expressed gratitude to the contractor for maintaining progress despite the funding changes.
