A 33-year-old man from Stremț was detained for allegedly staging a theft of parts from his own car to claim insurance money. He reported the theft in February 2024, but a technical check revealed the original parts were still installed. He received 55,206 lei from the insurance company based on false claims. Investigations are ongoing under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
