The Ungheni bridge project is 55% complete, with metal deck elements being installed. This bridge will enhance cross-border road connectivity between Romania and Moldova. It is part of the A8 highway project and the first major bridge over the Prut in over 60 years. The bridge will connect the future highway to Chișinău, playing a crucial role in the trans-European transport network.
